| Converting C-dale Super V Active 80 to Active 100? | Structure Oct 17, 2003 7:43 AM | | Has anyone experimented with increasing the travel of a Cannondale Super V Active 80 rearend? They came stock with a Fox Vanilla C/O R 5.03 length. Fox indicates that the Active 100 rearend sported a Fox Vanilla C/O R 5.75 length. For a while in the late 90s C-dale was making both the Active 80 and Active 100, and as far as I can tell, the frames were the same. I would like to try "upgrading" my Active 80 rearend with the longer shock, but would like to hear from anyone with experience on the matter.
I realize the longer shock would raise the rearend and bottom bracket. However, this should actually help the overall handling of the bike when mated with a long travel front fork. |

The only thing to do, is to change the shock, for one with more shaft travel with the same ( or a little more ) eye to eye lenght. |
| I did somthing similar with my Gemini... | damion Oct 17, 2003 10:25 AM | | went from a Float with 7.875" ete with 2" stroke to a 5th coil 8.0" ete 2.25" stroke. It only changed the angles slightly, because the additional travel resulted in more sag as well. Go for it. |

But thanks for the input. I'll repost if I ever get it to work. |
