Jan 12, 2004 6:21 AM | | I have a 2001 Monster T. I've been told that the lower bolt-on crown must be above the "stepped up" portion of the stancion tubes. By "stepped up", I mean that there is an area on the stancion tube that gets larger about 7 inches from the tops of the stancions.
Well, after doing some searching on MTBR, I found a post that says that the crown must clamp below that line. In other words, the lower crown needs to clamp on to the largest diameter area of the stancion tubes.
Can anyone clarify?
