I want to learn how to do a tail whip so I can easily make 180 degree U-turns on tight single track trails. Anyone have any pointers on learning this cool move. Thanks, G
This is how I do 'em....Cook

....even though I can only do them in one direction, but I'm still practicing.

The most cruicial thing I have found is to turn your handlebars. Just trying to swing the bike around using body english isn't enough. If you are doing a left tailwhip (ie, swinging rear of bike to the left or non-drive side) you want to be twisting on your handlebars as though you were turning left.

Other than that, it's basically front brake and throwing body forward and in the direction you want to whip.

Cheers

that's an endo turn

a tail whip is a bmx move which involves jumping high, leaving the pedals, and whilst holding onto the bars, kicking the rest of the bike 360 degrees around you before finding the pedals again. Then landing. piece of p*ss.

...now I'm going to pedal off and do an 'invert twist'...which of course, is where I'm pedalling down the street, see a cute girl, look down and under my left shoulder, then down and under my right shoulder, to catch her tail end from the best possible angles. I'm sure that is a BMX term.
