Is it ok to do long rides on days that I fast?w21

Just recently I've started fasting on sundays. Could it be dangerous to do long rides on days that I fast? I drink plenty of water.
Yes...GSlug

...I guess. Most of the fasting gurus would have you walking for an hour or more per day. I suppose if you rode slow enough it would be more fun than walking, but you should ride almost effortlessly.

Why would you want to fast for just one day? Every book I've read on the subject says to fast longer (3 to 10 day), less often. Furthermore, pure fasting is no longer advocated by most gurus. Try a juice fast were you only drink fresh juices (and buckets of water and an enima) for several day.
might reinvestigate that fasting idea...claims are pretty bogusCory

Based on what I've read and some questions to my neighbor the nutritionist, one day of fasting isn't going to do much to hurt you. But it's also not going to do you any good to speak of. Just out of curiosity (no flames at all), what's the reason for it? Seems like an overall reduction in calories spread over seven days would provide the same benefits, if there are any, without the worry and stress.
