Advice on Times Needed.smokinjoe

Im switching over from frogs to time. I'm having a heck of a time engaging and disengaging. Any tips? I'm using Lake 401 carbon shoes that seem to have alot raised rubber shoe cleats, will this hinder? Why a star on the left cleat? They look the same.

I have the MX 400's and had to cut the lugs on either side of the front of the cleat area. It makes the cleat area more rectangular and makes for easy engagement in to the Times. The star on one side or the other allows for different degree of exit.

Go to www.speedgoat.com and they sell cleats that have been shaped for better exit. Just file yours like they file theirs. It works great but the cleats wear faster. Been riding Times for 2 years and wouldn't switch except maybe to eggbeaters.
