Are they clear plastics that adhere to glasses?

Yep. I've never used them but I've seen pros use them in muddy races (sometimes even multiple tear-offs). Basically when your glasses get covered with mud, you "tear-off" the plastic and you have fresh, clean glasses (for a couple minutes).

WHere do you get them? Can you buy a sheet and cut to fit your own, i wonder?

Not sure. You might be able to find them in a motorcycle shop. I've only seen them used in pro races on TV.
Usually seen used with MX Goggles...Chip

Basically they're just a bunch of clear, thin plastic sheets that you can rip off during the course of a race. Didn't know they made them for regular glasses though.
