broken shoulder(1 post)

Hi all - I crashed and shuttered my shoulder joint (ball on my arm) last September into 5 pieces. Doc patched me up (no shoulder replacement - just a metal plate and a dozen Swiss-made screws permanently attached. kind of a funny looking, like a jellow fish) and now it looks like it is healing - but still having some chance of necrotization. I don't want to give up mt bike as that was my only truly enjoyable activity.

Qeustion to you guys - anybody keep riding off road after breaking bones - not just a crack, but actual breakage? How is the pain afterward? Any training I can do to prevent further damage my shoulder? Any protective gear that don't weigh pounds? Any suggestions/episode appreciated!
