How to clear a curb?gab

Hi,I always have this problem of bashing through to go on top of a pavement.I've seen my friends did it in a very flowing manner, they just approach the curb of the pavement and with a slight jerk of the handle bar and they're on the pavement.Despite numerous advices from them,I still can't do it properly. Can anyone show me a easier way?

Can you clear the curb with your front tire? If not, you may not be compressing the front shock (pre-loading) just before you pull up on the bars. After you clear the front wheel, pull up with your feet (you are clipped in, right?) to help clear the rear wheel. If you don't help the rear wheel, you may pinch flat the tube. Good luck and practice.
