|  More on squats | Upnorth Jan 11, 2004 5:35 PM | | Sometimes I wonder the value of squats, particularily on-season. However, I still pound them out: twice per week offseaon and once a week on-season. Recovery is often tough in both instances, but psychologically they feel so good. Due to many years of playing rugby, my legs are plenty strong enough for Mtb racing, but I am just addicted even though their relative value is sometimes in question.
The only value I see is doing high reps to failure (15-25), without tearing too much tissue. What do you think? |

If your legs are plenty strong, get rid of em and do more on the bike power training (unless you are entering a squat competition). |
