Anyone tried drilling holes in tyres/tubes to shave off weight?
Something else they´ve tried :Jan Gerrit

Nope, never tried that. Weight saving would also be minimal. Tell me, how many 1 mm holes (bigger will make the innertube work though the hole) do you expect to have to drill to save 50g?

IRC tried something else for their loyal customers : hollow knobs. Those s*cked!! Knobs just got ripped OPEN with a nice lock-up... These tires is, Mythos knobby rear, weren´t even as light as the firs Japanese models, I once had a 460g rear...

FTR, IRC distributor here in Holland replaced the Hollow tires as warranty.
I was only joking!Ty
