What is the lightest frame out there that will still hold up a pudgy, aging baby boomer?

it`s the same frame that swiss xc-racer Thomas Frischknecht rode this year (winning a worldcup and silver at the worlds..).I weighed his custom-made frame at 1152g including seatpost clamp.production frames are said to weigh 1170g.by the way: the complete bike weighs just 9.4 kilo (21 lbs) in stock trim.

Do you what the frame size is for this weight?
Frischchknechts frame was about size 20"...nino

Frischys 1152g frame was custom made in about size 20".i guess that production weights are slightly more because on Frischys frame they cut out all unnecessary metal such as the back of the steerer tube or the top of the BB tube where other tubes attach.

there is also another lightweight scandium frame, probably from the same taiwanese source as the Scott.it`s french manufacturer LAPIERRE which announces his HT frame to weigh 1160g.
