Seatpost upgrade?(7 posts)

Seatpost upgrade?andrew
Nov 2, 2001 4:38 PM
I have a titec x wing seatpost now, it isnt a boat anchor but it is a pain in the ass to get adjusted right. So I am thinking about springing for a new seatpost, and I figure I should upgrade to a light one. I am a lightweight (130-140 depending on the time of year) so it doesnt need to be super strong. I just want something that is high quality and reliable as well as light..... and of course not bank-busting.

Thomson Elite for $60 is the best money you'll spend on a post. There are lighter ones, but none allow you to easily set it and totally forget about it. Plus, I hear its customer service is awesome.

PricePoint has it for that price, by the way.
for $60 you can get a shock absorbing titanium post...clary.

Airborne Titanium MTB Seat Post $60.00
Airborne introduces its NEW titanium seat post. Titanium is one of the best materials for seat posts because of its ability to deflect shock, and increase riding comfort. The post is manufactured from aerospace grade 3AL / 2.5V titanium, with a 27.2mm diameter. 400mm long. 219 grams
