Is there a US or UK distributor for the Inferno Al cassette?(15 posts)

Is there a US or UK distributor for the Inferno Al cassette?AZ X-Racer

I can't get through to them with the web based mail and I'm trying to avoid callin Germany. That wouldn't be cost effective... There doesn't seem to be a standard email address on their site either. To have a sub-150g cassette would be too cool!

I'm tryig to find out how to get one from someone that I can communicate with reliably. I don't speak or write German. I just hope there is some other way to contact them and get ahold of one of these.

...but morons will always abound... Did I assume something that I shouldn't have?

It is a simple question really. Is there any other way to contact this company about the aluminum cogset--and, if not, is there a distributor in the U.S. or the U.K. or even Canada that may be able to get this part for me. I have tried to contact them and it didn't work.

I hope that's more clear to you.
no it realy is a stupid question.Ty

hey AZ X-Racer! just who the hell do you think you are asking questions about lightweight bicycle parts on a lightweight bicycle part Forum? as my highly literate friend flori pointed out "in countrey you am find this for every whan to like this part bicycle, you dam fool (©Mr T)" I can't agree with this young diplomat enough.

coupla' questions on this cassetteTy

Firstly I have sent an email to inferno, so I will inform you if they reply, the email address I had to guess as their 'Kontact' page would not work, I tried a few variations and 'support@inferno-laufraeder.de' was amongst two addresses not returned as 'invalid' by the 'Delivery Status Notification system' at hotmail, so I shall wait and see. My message was in very plain English not German, plus a very descriptive illustration of my intentions (see below), I live in hope.

My question is will this cassette fit onto my Rolf Propel Tubeless (2001) without much hassle?

And if it does should I pay heed to the following warning that came with the instructions?:

"some Rolf rear wheels use an aluminium alloy cassette carier as part of the freehub mechanism. Do not use cassette with individual steel cogs on alloy cassette cariers as they may damage the carrier. Use only cassettes with aluminium spiders joining several cogs together"

should I be concerned, I am currently running a XT (should that be 'an' XT????)

Any help greatly appreciated

Ty

AZ, I have a friend in Germany, but he is only at home/online during the weekends. If you dont find anything out by then email me and I will have him call them and ask for US/UK dist. vetteracer@qnet.com

Otherwise try http://babelfish.altavista.com/ it has a GREAT translator.

Let me know if you dont find anything.. i will check back for the posts too.
