According to the DT web site it is 543mm. Their spoke calculator seems pretty good (up-to-date rims, hubs) - it is at
http://www.dtswiss.com/en/speichen_cal.html
Actually, the DT calculator is a screwed-up piece of trash.Bianchi4Me

The actual ERD of the Mavic X517 rim is 539.5mm. If you use the measurement posted on the DT calc, 543mm, your spoke length will be incorrect.

The DT calculator also doesn't use individual measurements for the various Shimano hubs, so they are lumped in as "Shimano rear 135mm". Sadly, these hubs are NOT all the same size. Also, even those the dimensions they gave are WRONG, showing a center to flange of 35 left and 20 right. It's actually 36.8 and 23.2mm for the current XTR and XT hubsets.

Here's an example of a common combo: m950 XTR rear hub on Mavic X517, 32 hole, laced 3X.

My "Spokemaster", using the correct dimensions, sez: 263.23 left, 261.77 drive.

DT, using the wrong dimensions, sez: 264.8mm left, 263.2 right.

I've built a bunch of these using 263 left and 262 drive, so I can guarantee you that the DT length is too long.
Thanks nmPete

If you input your own data...shiggy

...instead of accepting DT's data base numbers their calculator works well. I always check the results on two or three different calculators before I buy spokes.
Excellent point. I called them about it, by the way.....Bianchi4Me

I was told that the dimensions for the X317 and the X517 are "wrong" for the North American market because those rims are a different size for the European market (?). The site is run out of Switzerland so they use the Euro specs. I've never heard of Mavic having different size rims for different markets using the same name, but hey. Hmnn, I guess we could ask Nino maybe.
