Conti Survival Pro 2.1's!!Coolhand

My trusty LBS says they have a set coming in-- I asked them to set these tires aside for me, as I am looking for a winter tire to take the place of my explorer pros. At 2.1 (formerly only available in 2.3's) these might be real contenders for weight sensitive riders looking for traction in the nasty stuff of the east coast.

PLEASE weigh them! Are these the reinforced sidewall version?

I'm looking for something big 'n' burly for marathons and some Alpine stuff. I have wondeful Onza tires, but they weigh around 1300g a pair!
Don't have them yet- will weight themCoolhand

I will let you know when I do. Not sure if these are the "protection" versions or not, which seem to add about 30 grams or so. I am in the same situation as you-- looking for a burlier "all-condtions" tire for the slop, roots and rocks.
