At 2.1 (formerly only available in 2.3's) these might be real contenders for weight sensitive riders looking for traction in the nasty stuff of the east coast.

I'm looking for something big 'n' burly for marathons and some Alpine stuff. I have wondeful Onza tires, but they weigh around 1300g a pair! |

Jan 15, 2002 8:12 AM | | I will let you know when I do. Not sure if these are the "protection" versions or not, which seem to add about 30 grams or so. I am in the same situation as you-- looking for a burlier "all-condtions" tire for the slop, roots and rocks.
