anybody recommend long lasting v-brake pads for alloy rims?marco righetti

I currently have shimano pads on my street bike but have found that they wear out quite quickly.
I have the cartridge style pads.
I still think the Avid RimWranglers are the best I've used. (nm)AZ X-Racer

I have used them for two years now with 3 races where people lost their pads in one day from the extreme conditions. Put these on and you wont be replacing your pads for years.

They are very grippy, long-lasting pads. KoolStop (who makes em) also has their own (cheaper/thicker) version
