a strong, lite rear wheel for freeridebmwatgt

well i just put a fox vanilla R on my Spec. Enduro. First reaction: "wow, this is really heavy!" SO, i want to drop a little weight from the rear of my bike. I'm thinking that a lighter wheel might do the trick. I ride too much xc to get a true freeride wheel, but I do drops and big jumps that will mess up an average lite wheel. I know that this is going to cost, im prepared for it. thanks

you might give this a try:

DT Hügi FR hub
Rim: Mavic X618 (470g) - It's an XC but double eyeletted (very strong)
Spokes: I would try 2.0/1.7/2.0mm spokes, maybe mid section 1.8

Of course: 36h cross-3 lacing. I think alloy nips will still be OK.

a Chris King hub, 14/15 (2.0/1.8) spokes. I think you can get away with 32 3X. That rim is a light freeride rim in the 460g area. I'm actually using a 317 rim on my Bullit, and it has held up well. I don't do drops from a stop, but am always rolling at a good clip doing ledges and other rocky terrain.
