Hey Everyone-

Has anyone tried this bb from American Classic?
http://shopping.oraclesmallbusiness.com/store/store.nl?store=ACCT68588&mode=browse§ion=2&category=9&id=101

Or you can go to www.amclassic.com and follow the links for ISIS bb's. I am thinking about getting one but haven't seen anything posted on it.

thanks

Tim

No-one actually has the 147mm version, as far as I know it's not for sale yet. Please tell US about YOUR experiences with it.

The weight seems to be great for the money, so go for it!

I think you maybe misunderstood. 147 grams not millimeters and I see American Classic HUBS all over the weight board. I have not seen anything on this bottom bracket.

about this BB and we do know it is 147 g and cromo

I to am waiting for a verdict on these but at this stage there has been mixed results some having no probs and others having probs with cranks coming loose and working loose in BB shell

In there defence most have said that they were using prototypes and the probs will most likely be sorted in the production run

I wasnt even sure they were in production yet but perhaps they are

Thats all I know at $60 it would be worth giving it a try but as I'm in Aus I have to double it and add close to half again for postage so I'm waiting for a more positive verdict before I make my choice
I have searched a few times now and still don't see anything???tbrady77

Ok, thanks guys. I just tried searching again and I still haven't found hardly any posts on this. I guess if a few people have tried it and it works then it probably wouldn't hurt to try it myself!

thanks

Try searching for "SHOOK"Sunny

The BB was originally under Shook design. He now owns American Classis, from what I have read here. This is probably where the confusion is.
DOES NOT EXIST YET in MTB sizing.Bianchi4Me

Most of the posts regarding this bracket would be from back in October when it demoed at Interbike. There is no 113mm size available yet (we've had this discussion a couple time already here on MTBR) so unless you are running a 2x9 setup that uses a 108mm it's not an option for you at this time.
Why then does the link in original post display 113's for sale?Jones

I'm interested in this bottom bracket, too. I'd like to use with the FSA carbon cranks which I understand are now available for ISIS splined BB's.
You'd need to ask THEM that one, it's been wrong for months.Bianchi4Me

I don't know why on earth they have left the order link up on their website for a part that hasn't even gotten past the prototype stage yet. Maybe they are lining people up for when the part actually arrives, maybe they are just too busy to change it. I do know that we have gone through this before here on MTBR with a guy who THOUGHT he had ordered one off their website. He was saying, "No, it is available, I just bought one." Turns out he ordered one, but he didn't buy one, ya know?
