I know that this has been talked about many times but what is the exact name of the Sugino rings that are superlight? They say that they are for 7 or 8 speed right? Do they work for 9 speed?

Thanks a lot

On the retailers website, they are listed as Supershift III. On the actual rings, they say CSP3 42R, CSP3 32R, and CSC 22.
I bought them from Bikeman.com for my 9speed bike. You will have to replace the 22T chainring with a lighter one because the one Sugino supplies is made of steel.

hey, check out Excelsports.com, I bought some Sugino rings there and they're really really light. not the supershift, but thy're definitely light! cheap and you don't have to buy the inner chaing ring, they are sold separately. I have the 46T and 34T awesome, light, and strong.

I just visited the Excelsports web site. The rings are on the web site but there is no explaination of the rings what so ever. Are they aluminum, steel, do chainrings bolts come with them? Can I buy chainring bolts from them?

they're aluminum. at least eh outer and middle are that they sell. The bolts do not come with them, they're compatible with the existing bolts you already have on your rings right now. I'm not sure what bolts you can buy from them, just call them, they're open now I think. they're really light. I have the individual weights, but not on me..they're at school.
