Nino, More chainring questions... (8 posts)
| Nino, More chainring questions... | Alan Mar 22, 2002 8:11 AM | | Looking at the roadbike chainring photo you supplied, it appears that you remove a lot of metal...You don't have any fear of the ring failing? I would hate to muscle up a hill to find the ring shatter and my jewels hit the toptube... |
| re: Nino, More chainring questions... | nino Mar 22, 2002 9:47 AM | | no problem. just use some common sense when doing such tuning!my set of rings on my MTB weighs just 100g...works fine since 2 years.shifts as before.what else could you ask for? my 532g crankset (including 14g FRM Al crank-fixing bolts):

| Tune Bigfoots? | Andystrike10 Mar 22, 2002 12:27 PM | | Nino, how do the Bigfoots compare to your old RF turbine LP's in stiffness? If they had made these in ISIS I would have fitted some to my Scott. Interested to know what they are like. |
| Tune Bigfoots? | nino Mar 22, 2002 1:07 PM | | yes-Tune crankarms.they look more flexible for sure but to tell you the truth i can`t tell the difference!maybe the Scott frame is much stiffer than the s-works i had but i can`t tell about added flex.(I weigh 155 lbs).I have another set on my roadbike and same story there.
