I'm looking for some new SPD bike shoes. Every brand and model I have tried seems to be very heavy. How hard can it be to make lightweight bikeshoes?
yes people do 'TALKE' (?) about shoe weight....Ty

I happen to get a set over the winter off of EBay for real cheap. Just happens that MBA did a review on the shoes a few months ago and gave them if I remember correctly a 5 star rating, but no listed weight. Any idea on the weight of this shoe? Still to cold in my area to break out the mesh shoes to see how they feel on a ride, but walking around the fit like slippers.

I've used the Sidis and like them a great deal for their fit and overall quality and light weight; butI would like a shoe with a stiffer sole, particularly now that I'm running eggbeaters. The Nikes run a super stiff carbon sole, are extremely lightweight, and the rep at Sea Otter they tried to emulate the fit of Sidi. We'll see about that, but they look promising.
