May 26, 2002 5:56 AM | | at this moment i´m using a pair of schwalbe jimmy tires, but as i´m addicted to saving weight i´m considering switching to the Skinny Jimmies. they are smaller, but what´s the actual width? and can i use it for xc-racing (gravel, single-trails, grass; dry and sometimes wet conditions).
yeah, what i forgot:í ride stan´s system, so what pressure would i have to ride without having the risk of flatting my tires every ride? currently i´m riding 2,5/2,7 bar (jimmy, width:47,7 mm) |

the one i mounted on my wifes bike weighed 435g,rolls really fast BUT it has too small knobs.they flex quite a bit when leaned over and make for a vague feeling.it`s small size won`t make it a good tire for loose soil.
my wife uses it only in dry,sunny conditions at a very SLOW pace so it`s ok there...
try the CONTINENTAL EXPLORER SUPERSONIC instead: 2.1" / 440-480g.for me the best lightweight tire on the market-period! |

May 27, 2002 10:23 AM | | wow, für mich is halt auch wichtig, dass ich nicht gleich einen patschen im rennen hab, wäre nämlich echt sauer wenn ich deswegen bei der EM oder bei einem cuprennen ausfallen würde. außerdem wäre das verhalten im gatsch auch nicht uninteressant.
zu deinem kit: is die flüssigkeit irgendwie anders oder wo liegt der unterschied (felgenband) ? is sicher besser als dauernd aus den usa zu bestellen.....
dass ihr schweizer besser am bike seid weiß ich leider, aber für einen wiener is ein swisscup-rennen doch ziiiiiiiieeeeemlich weit :-/ |

wir haben ein profiliertes felgenband speziell für jeden felgentyp.dazu eine dichtflüssigkeit.hält bombenfest und ist einfach in der montage. |
