|   Weights of a Giant SE XTC and Cannondale CAAD5? | dirtdad

I have seen multiple postings about how the Giant XTC SE frame is a "sub 3 pound frame". Sounds great. Giant officially calls it a "3.26" pound frame on their web site. I have checked the weight weenie site and the 19" comes in at 3.19 there.
I am comparing this to a Cannondale CAAD5 frame, which Cannondale calls a 3.4 lb frame, but is also frequently referred to as a 3 lb frame. Weights on the weight weenie site are silly: A CAAD4 weighs in a 3 lb exactly, and an unknown comes in at 3.4. |
