Which tire ? Kozmik Lite or Klimax Lite ???timtimtim

Which tire should i get

Kozmik tire is 395g (semi slick) and Klimax is 345g (semi knobby)

Which tire would actually roll faster ?

will the weight make the tire roll faster or there tread pattern (knobby ness).
I can't seem to make decision i ran tioga 1.8 before...

Thanks
I ride both...CKS

for semi slicks, the Kozmik is super fast and really only good for hard pack. The Klimax is good for technical fast riding where you need more grip than the semi, but not as much as a full knobby.
Me too, but...MPH

...I dropped the Kozmik.
I had it on the back with the Klimax on the front. For me, and my sloppy riding style, I found the Kozmik just didn't have enough to give me the traction I needed on hills. Conditions may have been a bit too soft.
With the Klimax on the front, I didn't feel all the stable on turns.
I ended up moving the Klimax to the back and put the old ContiExPro on the front. Good combo!
The Klimax has more than enough guts to get me through mud & loose stuff, and I've gone through super-rocky rides of 15-25 miles and never found a scratch on it! I've used it with Stan's Rimstrips and lightwieght tubes (at 34 & 40 lbs/sq.in. respectively - 150 lb rider wt.) and never had a problem.
It is the way to go if you want to go super light.
kozmik, but switched to $15 IRC Mythos 1.95 @ 410gramsMadx

Get the $15 with red sidewall (Rear tire) one made in Japan, not the $10 blackwall Mythos from Korea which is a lot heavier. Don't get the front tire, get the rear tire cuz they are lighter only 485g, then slice off the side thread and you now have a lightweight knobbies 410gram for only $15. Get them from Jensonusa.com or Pricepoint, both selling them for $15 or you can pricematch @ Performance bike. These are much bigger tire than both Kenda
I love my Klimax. Wait a minute, that came out wrong.kid4lyf

I've been using them this whole season and they are my favorate race tire, front and back. As fast rolling as the Kozmics on anything but pavement, lighter, and surprisingly good hold on anything but slop. Use for race day only, though cause the light weight came from somewhere. I have tubes with thicker casings.

Get both tires, run the Klimax on the front and the Kozmik on the rear. You will be impressed will the speed and holding power. The Klimax weights in at 340g-345g and Kozmik at 380g-390g. Most other brands (other than Maxxis) weight alot more than advertized. I have the Maxxis Minatur and Wormdrive hanging in the garage. They don't come nowhere close to the performance of the Kendas on hardpack with some looseness on top. When I replaced the front Kozmik, I noticed the Klimax rolls a little slower, but nothing like a big full knobby(more, bigger knobs= more resistant and weight= slow you down). I'll be switching the front back and forth when the terrain warrants. The Kendas seems to be the best front/rear combo on the market.
