| Giant MCM's | VetteRacer Aug 11, 2002 4:01 PM | | 1998, Navy blue. Anyone know if this is the same as the newer ones for weight and all that? Are they good riding bikes? I am looking for a lightweight hardtail for racing. I was thnking about a mag frame ~3#. But someone local has an MCM for sale with some nice parts on it, part out the stuff I dont want and replace them with stuff I do... Anyways, what would you say a built one is worth (assuming nothing specatular for parts, but does have XTR, stuff like that) Thanks Matt |
| The new ones.... | nigel7780 Aug 11, 2002 4:30 PM | | are the same weight, just diff color. They are not available in the US anymore if thats where yer at. As for what we can get here, they do have a full XTR hardtail for 2003 with "v" brakes and X Max wheels...but they did not change their frames for this year, so they put light parts on a crappy 3.5 lb frame but added a sweet carbon roadbike to the lineup instead :( oh well we always get screwed in the US...damn people and the need to sue so easily!!! Ok done with that rant!!!......Retail is like $3200 for the full XTR hardtail. |
