1998, Navy blue. Anyone know if this is the same as the newer ones for weight and all that?
Are they good riding bikes?
I am looking for a lightweight hardtail for racing. I was thnking about a mag frame ~3#. But someone local has an MCM for sale with some nice parts on it, part out the stuff I dont want and replace them with stuff I do...
Anyways, what would you say a built one is worth (assuming nothing specatular for parts, but does have XTR, stuff like that)

Thanks
Matt

are the same weight, just diff color. They are not available in the US anymore if thats where yer at. As for what we can get here, they do have a full XTR hardtail for 2003 with "v" brakes and X Max wheels...but they did not change their frames for this year, so they put light parts on a crappy 3.5 lb frame but added a sweet carbon roadbike to the lineup instead :( oh well we always get screwed in the US...damn people and the need to sue so easily!!! Ok done with that rant!!!......Retail is like $3200 for the full XTR hardtail.

Isn't the down-tube a bit fatter on the newer models??
New fat downtube frames are 100 gr lighter. (nt)lkfoster
