the tires, crankset and bottom bracket. Get thee some lightweight tires and latex, saving a pound. UST is not a weight weenies solution. You can save nearly 100 grams on the crankset with FSA, and 200 grams with Storck. Change the bottom bracket to one of the better Ti models (Action Tec is one) at the same time for another 60 grams or so. Otherwise, the components mix sounds reasonable to me. Sure, you can get a lighter post, cassette, pedals, flat bar, levers or skewers if you want, but you can't make as big a dent in the weight as with what I already listed.
I totally agree...nino

the parts actually look pretty good right now.to get any lighter you`ll have to spend some serious cash.

loose 500g on the tires alone by going with either Stans or the ECLIPSE-Tubelesskit and some lightweight race tires.you won`t believe the difference!I had the exact same wheel/tire combo on my brand new 01 s-works.when i did the change my bike really became alive and accelerated like a turbo charged engine...handling gets quicker too.it affects the way your bike handles in a big way...

Frame and fork are usually very rider specific so wont touch on them at all
Headset: Chris King top race with cap and bolt 25 - can go lighter but a King is King
Stem:FSA 120 XC 155 - Extralite The Stem 120x4degree around 110
Handlebar:easton ea70 144 - Easton CT2 125 or Extralite The Bar 105
Cranks:Truvativ Stylo team ISIS 677
Chain Rings:Truvativ included in weight of crankset
Seat Post:Thompson Elite 217 Extralite The Post is around 200
Water bottle cage:Elite 83 - easily get a cage under 40 grams
Cranks and BB can be much lighter, but I would have to recommend a Tapered system which you probably don't want.
Wheels and tires are heavy, but UST is a choice you obviously want.

Your really picking grams now so not really all that much help
