saving weight: stock Dura Ace crankbolts?weiwentg

without getting carbon cranks (too expensive), I suppose the only way to knock weight of my Dura Ace cranks is to get titanium crankbolts. are there any self-extracting ones, which ones do I get, and where do I get them from? thanks.
no lighter bolts...but the rings...nino

DA crankbolts are already some of the lightest out there since i guess they are similar/equal to XTR.

here`s some crankbolts weights
Crank-fixing-Bolts (pair):
FRM (Al,square) : 14g
Tune ti "goldaugen" (square) : 15g
Tune (Al,square) : 14g
Sycnros Crank-O-Matic (Ti/Al,square) : 18g
World Class Ti self-extracting (Ti/Al,square) : 20g
Shimano (steel,square) : 29g
Tune self extracting (steel/Al,square) : 33g
FSA (splined,ISIS,self extracting M14,Al) : 18g
FSA (ISIS,M15) : 20g
Shimano XTR self-extracting (Al,splined) : 19g
FRM/FSA (ISIS, Al, M15 , self-extracting) : 21g
Truvativ (self extracting Al,splined) : 25g
Specialized (S-Works Al,splined): 23g
X-Lite (self-extracting) : 31g
Shimano Ultegra (self-extracting,steel,splined) : 31g
Shimano LX (steel,splined) : 36g
Specialized self-extracting (steel/Al,splined) : 36g

BUT the DA chainrings are heavy!some shaving can save up to 40g or get some TA Specialite rings.
if i remember right a 53 DA ring weighs about 95g or even more.my set of shaved 38/51 TA rings weighs just 94g (25g + 69g).

shaved TA Specialite rings:
Nino, about your road forkscc

Are you using a 1" carbon steerer Mizuno fork on your FRM? I have a 1" carbon steerer Reynolds Ouzo Aero pro, 700c, (380g cut) that I want to use on a '03 Kestrel Talon SL (2.4 lb, 57c) with a 1-1/8" steer tube. To do this I was going to use a Chris King Devolution aheadset. Did you do something similar?

my fork is a Mizuno with 1" carbon steerer.it weighs exactly 350g cut to ca. 15cm.my FRM has a 1" headset so no adapters are needed.
your Reynolds is pretty heavy at 380g and by adding spacers (i guess about 40g) you will add even more.just scroll down a few messages to DIRTDAD`s message.his Giant 1 1/8" fork weighs just 323g UNCUT!
thanks!!weiwentg

I will first have to wear out my DA chainrings, mind you, and this will take a LONG time at my weight (120).
