Apr 15, 2003 6:46 AM | | Well the Frame weight of a 19inch 2002 including standard issue bolts and cable router is 1651.07 grams. The frame weights vary a bit frame by frame i have weighed another one that was 1660.15 grams. If you live in Lafayette, Ca. I am in Walnut Creek. You should give Ritchey a call and speak to a sales rep. if you are really interested in a Plexus. Hell they might even give you a walk through tour of Ritchey Designs. You will see the Ritchey Bike that Frinschi won world championships on. It is also pretty sweet when you walk in the rear area walk in and see some of the frameset including Plexus, niti, cross frames wainting to be shipped to the painter or getting their finial checkout be for shipping to a shop, wheelsets being built, etc. |

1650 gr for a steel frame is impressive!(how about its live span?)Do you know by chance the NI-TI weight as well? I would use the 18inch (or 18.5 inch if available) Now I have a 19inch Rockhopper wich I run with a quite short stem in order to get the right fit.

It is a great race/ xc rig so it should have a long life span since it is steel. I believe that Ritchey Frameset Run a bit smaller than your Rockhopper. How tall are you. The Plexus is lighter than the Niti and the Ride is much smoother. Send me your email and i will send you a couple pics.
