I just got my new expert and am currently in the process of getting it set up to my liking. Its a little heavier than I would like right now and I want to know if the Ti bolts used on the team are available somewhere? How can I get em and how much would they cost me? Any other way to lighten the bike that wont kill the best features would also help. Large- 21'' is about 30lbs
Ti bolts are kind of "last resort"Sunny

type of thing when it comes to weight savings. You won't save much (20 to 60g depending on the number of bolts) and it'll cost a fair bit of money.

Changing the saddle can easily drop that much weight. My WTB Rocket V or something, (can never remember those goofy names) is 205g and is comfy, to boot.

The things that are heavy on your bike aren't cheap to replace. Disc brakes/ UST wheels/tires....

I am looking at getting the same bike and here is my gameplan on shedding a pound or two:
1. Replace the wheels. I am going for wtb disc lite with velocity vxc. It would cost 350$ but would be the most importand pound to lose as its rotational weight. If you must use tubeless get stans.
2. Replace the handlebar , for 70$ you can get a carbon raiser that is 150gr lighter then the EA50 hog or go with a flat bar.
3. Replace the disc breaks. I'm still debating this, but Magura martas would be half a pound lighter (but the cost is prohibitive).
4. The seat I am going to change anyway but this is more out of personal preference ,weight considerations are secondary here.

I think this should give you a good place to start...

Can any of you estimate the Hollowpoint frame weight? Been trying to find out for a while. Either that or give me the exact weight of the bike if you've measured it. Thanks.
Neked Expert 19" frame hits my scale @ 6.25 pounds (nm)næstep
