instead of the Easton SL riser because the sl seams a little fragile and expensive. Check the reviews.
www.bicycleblowout.com has the mx-5 for $78.
I've heard good things. Here's a review

Some comments (this is my first carbon bar):
-it's quite narrow for riser
-feels surprisingly stiff (same or better than my RF Low rise) but still deadens trail chatter
-I still don't have 100% confidence on this bar, it'll probably hold just fine while riding but is it crash proof? Only minor tumbles so far and no damage to bars.

I really like them. Been riding on them for a few weeks now with no problems. They seem to be really strong - no flex at all.

I put on on my SS and have been riding it since April. Very nice bar, 24" and if I recall correctly Easton looses weight by shortening their bars. Weight 135 grams for the Maxm. On a SS you do a lot of torquing on the bars for leverage and I'm 185lbs....no problems. Have hit a few trees as well. I like the bars so much I pulled my Extralite Ultra Bar off my Racer X and have replaced it with the same Maxm bar. Anyone want to buy my Extralite Ultrabar? Only used for a few months.

I have degenerative disc in my lower back.....so I have a back problem, always have and just figured I'd have to get use to it. After building up my SS with a riser bar, I noticed my back really did not bother me at all.....hurt much more on my FS race bike. I wanted the riser figuring this may help. I bought the Maxm since I get a sponsorship deal with them and their product is really great quality. I like Maxm MUCH more than Easton. Thats all.
