where to get light tubes?capt pearl

I'm looking for a good source of light tubes - I'm only nominally a weight weenie, but hate sticking boat anchors in my python air lites.

I just picked up some continentals at the LBS and they seem pretty light, but at $8/ea, they could get spendy fast.

Thanks.

Lunar lights from Performance are claimed 99 grams but they are also expensive at $9.99 unless you wait when they go on sale for $5.99.
Some say they are not durable, I've had good luck with them.
I ride and race with Lunar Lights, as well as theDuckman

...1.5/1.8 Specialized Ultralights(135ish gms, and the lunars about 100ish gms)most of the time. Just change'm out every few months. Have ONE real flat, and 3 total leakers while riding. All since last summer. $14.95 for 3 LLights at the moment, as i just got 3 more in for stock.

go to www.maxxis.com
fly weights weigh 104g and have some of the best reviews of the light weight tubes, definately better than the lunars.
Cost $8 and includes a very light rim strip.
and 88g for the 26x1.5-1.8 (nm)Heatstroke

Have you considered just buying some generic 26x1.25 slick tubes? You can use those instead, they are cheap and light. Mine are 117 g and have run 6 races so far over 4 months, no flats or leaks.
what are slick tubes?capt pearl

Road bike tubes? 6 races over 4 months on the same tubes? That's not bad at all.

Yeah, theyre just tubes for the narrow slick 26 inch tyres. THey are 1.25 size so are very narrow/small = light. It has been passed around forum before using them to save weight cheap and I found it great. Done the past 6 races on them and so far so good.

Before that, had Continental supersonics (or something), they were 90 something grams but would not stop getting small punctures. Also they were $18 AUS which is steep for a tube so that was the end of that experiment. These are 117g and when they do flat eventaully, I'll just get another one cheap, but so far it has been nothing but exemplary performance and that compared to any tube I've used before.
