would the black box SID hold up on some occassional trail riding, rocky trails, on a hardtail? I know there isn't much weight savings with the SID team, but it sure looks awesome! I weigh 160 and do most flat xc trails. Thanks in advance!
It'll be fineDevin

I race on the SID World Cup and it holds up fine. I noticed an increase in stiffness when I swapped out my SID SL.

If you don't want the lockout or carbon or want to save some cash buy the SID Race. It's the lightest and cheapest of the SID's.
I have a brandnew 03 SID Race for sale cheap...nino

Yes, you'll be fine on a SID World Cup for trail riding on rocky trails with a hardtail. This is the exact riding/racing I do and my '03 World Cup has been perfect through an entire season of racing/training/riding. BTW, I'm 140 lbs.
