good road tires and slicks?rjstoked

Might anyone offer some insight on a good tire/tube combo for city riding (I have 2 sets of rims) my dakar to the university and back. Looking for small all weathers that are light, durable, and low rolling resistance for my mavic 317 on my daily 12 mile trip. Also, what tire liner is best w/o wieghing the wheel down. Currently, I am using wtb 1.25 all terriansaurus at max psi but the feel slow. Feeling overwhelmed with tire specs and would appreciate any inout.

I've been running a set of 26 x 1.0 Ritchey Tom Slicks for probably 400 miles and they are great. Minimal wear, great grip, and they roll super-fast. They even hook pretty good in the rain. They are the tire of choice for our weekly urban MTB ride.

I don't run tire liners with them and have yet to flat.

Several of my buddies ride the fatter 1.4's and have had similiar results.

I run them with cheap 1.0-1.25 tubes from the LBS.

These tires roll very fast and have a nice ride. The inverted tread works well in the rain and slicks roads.

I have a pair that I bought that I no longer need and will let them go at cost for $12 each.

e-mail if you want them. I won't be back until the first though..
