The new Conitnental Vapor tyre...Anders
Oct 21, 2003 12:32 AM
Just recieved the new Conti Vapor tyres, and was out this morning testing them. They roll better than the explorer on both road and on the trails and has better grib in the corners. Conti claims the weight is 515g for the Pro edition, but mine are 605grams. I have weighed 4 tyres, and all were about the same. You don't notive the extra 200g going from the explorer's to the Vapor's.
So, how's the Vaporwear?pedalAZ

hi

i used the vapor pros during the transalp this summer and they were great. I only had one puncture - big old nail and my friend had none. they are great on gravel and ok on the road aswell. After the 650 km the rear tire was a bit worn down but still usable. some knobs had been damaged.
It supposed to be contis new marathon tire - and i think it's actually a better allround tire than explorer or escaps.
You can also get it in a protection versione which is a bit heavier.

my weights were just below 600 gr
