Since this shock seems to be extremely light, can anyone recommend a source for the 190mm legnth one which if I recall is the right length per DavidG for the Scott Strike?

What is your opinions of the 5th Element air shock for this bike?

definitely DT ssd210 Air!

Ive hear the 5th Element is not really reliable and very very very hard to set up with no better result than with a "classic shock".

I've the DT 210L on my Strike (see mtbr gallery of next week or light-bikes.com, the 20.97lbs strike), it's really a great shock, reliable (about 4000km now and really no problem in my "muddy country", Belgium) and it's possible to make the service yourself!

you need a 165mm shock, NOT a 190!!!!!

I can get both the 210L and the 225, usually within 2 days. Both 165 and 190 lengths are available now.
