| Any info/feedback on Pace's RC31 rigid carbon fibre fork? | SS_MB-7 Oct 31, 2001 9:15 AM | | Here's a pic:
I only recently started riding rigid (coming from a '01 SID Race) and I absolutely love it! I love the precision and efficiency offered by a rigid fork. I'm currently using a Spicer disc-only steel rigid fork, but am looking to shed a little weight and gain some vibration damping. The Spicer is a great fork, but it's 2.5lbs and is very, very stiff. This is particularly felt in rock-gardens and rapid studder-bumps. I'm particularly interested in the Pace RC31 carbon and the Morati Ti fork since they are: 1 - light (1.4lbs); 2 - offer increased vibration damping over aluminum and steel; and 3 - are available in disc-only versions. However, the above 3 come at a significant cost over a steel fork...more so the Morati ($600US) than the Pace (~$250US). Does anybody have any info/feedack on the Pace RC31 carbon rigid fork? Forgiving.
Precise.
Go for the Pace, they are the best rigid forks, ever. I am pi@@ed I got rid of mine when I got the RC-38 air fork (but it does have lock out!)
