Word of thanks32:20 (Newbie)
Feb 12, 2002 8:04 AM
Thanks to all who helped me out!

Last week I posted a question about 32:20 gearing. My LBS frowned on this gearing as an option so I posted the question here; after a lot of feedback telling me to ride what I wanted I did in fact change the gearing...

I'm happy to say on Saturday I was able to take my SS on one of the local rockier, steeper rides and had an absolute blast! As the weather gets more cooperative and I get more riding in I'll be working toward a 32:18/17 (for more stability in the technical downhill sections) but for right now 32:20 is providing a great deal of fun! So I just wanted to say thanks!

...not what others tell you you should.

We can give you opinions but you are always the final judge.

Glad to hear you are having fun on it! Looks like it also gave you a permanent handle. Even when you do gear down....
