I gave away a '69 BMW 1600 last spring. I had gotten it free and needed parts off it - to put on my '70 BMW 2002 that I got for a penny. Not to be confused with the '71 2002 I paid $950 on ebay, or the other 71 2002 that I bought. I have lots of bmw parts now.

but you only get some if you come on my Skookum Flats/White River SS ride (tenatively scheduled for sometime in July). Homebrew at that!

Are you a homebrewer too? I just brewed a batch of Oatmeal Pale Ale last Sunday. It should be ready to drink by the end of July. I have a wheat beer I'm working on depleting right now. Homebrew RULES and it's cheap too.

I brewed it (Irish Stout) with help from an experienced homebrewer. Turned out pretty tasty. Guess I'll be purchasing equipment for a new hobby now. :P

I brewed for a number of years but although the rewards were great (enjoying your own with an ever expanding group of friends) I largely stopped because it was such a pain to process all of those bottles with each batch. Recently some riding buddies (fine single speeders the lot of them) introduced me to the benefits of kegging yer own. Kegs sure simplify things and cut down on one of the more time consuming and least rewarding steps of the brewing process. Soon we are going to Downieville and I expect there to be no less than three separate batches of home brew represented (dates withheld at the request of the brewers...but its early July). There is definitely allot of information about homebrewing out there but here is a supplier that I ended up buying allot of my supplies from. Ten years ago they were great at quality, pricing, and information/delivery, williamsbrewing.com.

Check em out!

Relax, enjoy, have a homebrew!

I have four of them thank you very much. I don't use them much anymore 'cause I don't drink as much beer as I used to so I give a lot to friends and family. I agree it is much less time consuming than bottling I can keg a batch in an hour or so. To bottle I have to give myself at least three hours including time to clean and sterilize the bottles.

Sounds like a jab at Pre-SSPROGRE-SS

This sounds like a jab at Pre-SS, er, I mean me. And if it isn't a jab at me, sorry. Hey, I didn't post on this forum to try and scam some free parts. Like the many before me and the many after me, I was and am simply looking for information and opinions, trying to tap into the vast knowledge I know is out there, looking for help in building my single speed. And, if the fine people on this board feel compelled to "donate" or sell their unused bike parts to help a brother out, that's theirs and my business. Like I've said in my previous posts further down, when I come to that point where I can play role of "giver", I will!!

...even though others cannot. Most people truly enjoy helping others out that have a genuine desire and need. It's all about acknowleging the ways that we've been blessed and allowing others to experience that as well. Plus, you know have three kids, you need to get out and ride, man! You're gonna need that solitude to handle their energy!

btw, even if you ride rigid, i'll still send you the fork, you can sell it if you want to upgrade the bike. or buy diapers.

Ok Pre, here is what I've got lying around the old garage. All of this stuff is well used but should still have plenty of life left in it. You can have any or all of this stuff for the cost of shipping.

Bars
Bontrager Race Lite, 22 in. 9 degree sweep
Bontrager Cro Bar, 25 in. 6 degree sweep 1 ½ in rise.
Titec Enduro, 22.5 in. 6 degree sweep.
Any of these would do but the Crow Bars are longer which will aid in climbing, plus they already have the XT brakes levers mounted on them.

Stem
1 1/8 in System 2 130mm. 10 degree rise.
1 in Kore 130 mm. 10 degree rise.
1 1/8 in Voodoo 140 mm. 10 degree rise.

XT brake levers 1 pair.
Ourey Grips
Tektro linear pull brakes 1 pair.
Shimano UN 72 BB 107mm spindle, square taper.
Shimano IG chain.
WTB Momentum Comp Headset 1 1/8 in.
Mavic 237s 32 spoke rim 3 cross laced to Parallax LX front hub.
Panaracer Duster AF front tire.
WTB Tyranoraptor rear tire.
Fi'zi:k Poggio saddle.

Are you going to need a singulator (chain tensioning device)? I've got one lying around but may be needing it for another project.

I have a few duplicate tools lying around too but not much, what do you have, what do you need?

Rich
