I have an ACS but it makes such a racket it is distracting when I have to ride a section of road. So does anyone out there know of a good 20t or even 19t? I have a Spot hub. I tend to like my 18t (shimano) & I like my 20t & I just think that a 19t would solve any problems. Since I switch them back & forth quite a bit depending on the terrain. Thanks a bunch for any info.

"Thinned out grease"

Put some in your ACS ... problem solved. Either that or earplugs. HA!
The above method is the best I ever found...Billy

The idea to do it originally came from Brent at Phil Wood. He suggested mixing their tenacious oil with their grease. I found WD-40 to work great with their grease for the job though. You have to inject the thinned grease into the 4 rear holes in the rear of the freewheel, which means you will have to pull it off the wheel first.

I drip wet lube [ie: oil] into my acs freewheels and that quiets them up just fine for a few rides.

Of course, you could also just keep pedalling and not coast.... ;)

We just soak our free wheels in a bucket of 30 wt. motor oil over night after a good cleaning with Pedros Orange Peel.

I have done the soaking in oil thing. It does help for a bit. I just thought there might be another solution but if not I'll keep doing the oil thing. Les
