Setting up a SS to try it out and happen to have this 2:1 combo handy. Will it work or do I need to use a 30-something up front or what? Fill me in guys. Thanks.

* Not many teeth will be engaged and it could skip.
* Any out-of-round in the chainring/cog will be noticed more.
* More wear.
* More chain friction.

I just went to bigger ring/cog to reduce friction - 44x26 - same final gear as my usual 34x20
Ooooh! Let's see those frame decals...Drevil

...I suppose you made 'em yo'self? Mine's semi-naked after I stripped off my scratched up downtube stickers. Later, I put a teeny MC one on the toptube, and of course, a diablo on the headtube. Whaddya got on your headtube?

Yes, I made it myself. Printed in normal paper from a color copy machine. Trimed to size and holes punched for the bottle cage bosses. Sprayed with clear Krylon to protect it. Applied to the frame with spray adhesive then covered with clear contact paper (plastic)for futher protection. I can easily replace it if and when it gets damaged.

I made my own head badge from copper and brass. Based on an Old Norse symbol.

...with better control in all situations. Better in the rough. Easier grip, easier to use the brakes, easier on my wrists, elbows and shoulders. Been riding drops off road since '85.

thats just a little extension that makes more room available for things to clip on to your handlebars... used mostly on road bike and especially tri bikes for things like computers, lights, etc.

frees up the bar tops and also lowers the lights for better coverage and shadow definition.
