Tuesday after the SoCal meeting I road with my church group at Nisene Marks. While riding down a single track on the edge of a cliff, I came across a 2 foot tree which had fallen across trail. The tree had been cut to allow passage. My front wheel washed out and my left shoulder hit the stump on the up side. I bounced off and and fell backwards into the other stump. The impact almost knocked me out and lacerated the back of my head; 8 stiches.

The impact jerked my Giro helmet forward and the laceration was caused by the "RocLoc" feature.

with an eccentric bottom bracket. Paul made it with good old Tange Prestige steel. It's far and away the best MTB i've ever ridden.
