help with xtr bottom bracket(3 posts)

help with xtr bottom bracketclydsdal

I purchased some xtr crank arms for use on my Bianchi CuSS. I then called Cambria for an AC spider and a fc-950 xtr bb in the 68/73x116 configuration. When I seat the drive side tight, the non drive side sticks out a fair amount...I'd say a good 9-10mm of threads are showing that aren't going into the shell. I see on Cambria that my other option for spindle length is 112.5. I can't help but think that this small decrease in length isn't gonna do anything to solve my problem. Any ideas? What am I missing? Any help appreciated. Thanx, Randy Tracy

i just replaced the bottom bracket in my cuss this evening. i bought a un72 from lbs just to lighten it up. they checked with bianchi to make sure of the size- 68x110mm. i kept the stock race face cranks. it was my first bb install also. hope this helps.
Use a Dura-Ace (or Ultegra) BB at 109.5mm (nm)PJR
