| yo eddy ss project | bigchris Feb 1, 2003 10:43 AM | | Bought this at a swap for $50. Seemed like a steal...but got home and realized the seat tube was rusted through. After months of dragging my feet, I cut the tube out and welded in a new one. Found some old decals and sprayed it prizmatique silver to white fade. Hopefully it will be all together soon. |
| head tube detal. | bigchris Feb 1, 2003 10:46 AM | | coudn't find a headtube decal so I had to improvise. cheers |
| nice... | kam Feb 1, 2003 3:21 PM | | good job! what kind of fork is that?
cheers...and good luck on the build up. |
| nice... | bigchris Feb 1, 2003 3:51 PM | | Thanks.
The fork is by Fat City as well. Its a legit Yo Eddy Team fork, as opposed to the ones by Tange that show up on ebay now and then. I think it might be a little too stiff (the blades are inch and an eigth) so I might end up going with a Fat Big One Inch. Gotta love those swaps... |
| SWEET! | loony Feb 2, 2003 10:07 AM | | I really like to color scheme Chris. It turned out very good. If you ever decide to go to the other fork, I'm willing to buy that fork from you. Let me know. |

| real nice.... | NAHTNOJ Feb 1, 2003 10:02 PM | | Great job!
I have a Yo! that will most likely become an SS this summer. Where did you come up with a decal set from? That sort of thing has to be getting scarce. |
| the decals... | bigchris Feb 1, 2003 10:21 PM | | Found the decals through Independent Fabrication founder (and amazing SS racer legend) Lloyd Graves. I'm guessing they're leftover from the old Somerville Fat factory, and the IF founders held on to em. I think I got the last Yo Eddy Team decals, but I did see some old FAT CHANCE decals in their stash...along with the cool martini vinyl cutout which I snagged for the headtube. Lucky find I guess... |
