Feb 3, 2003 2:34 AM | | ....but i used to think the same that it wasnt possible or practicle...and have had the discussion with Gene at spicercycles and he has assured me and even sent me pictures of aluminum frames he has converted with an EBB that it was very safe to do it....so i would contact him and see what he says...but he will tell you the same thing he has told me numerous times..that it is very doable!...he told me he has the supplies to do it in stock also....hope that helps! |

I do like the idea that the tabs on the BB shell are not threaded and the bolts go clear though. If the bolt thread do strip they are replacable. |

Feb 3, 2003 4:20 PM | | possible bolt breaking causing the outer shell to break apart. with this brace at least there is another connection between downtube and chainstays. it won't save the nuts though if the male rider is standing when the bolts break. |
