Mar 28, 2003 11:24 AM | | Who's racing which category at Sea Otter? I can't decide between Beginner/Sport and Pro/Expert. It's my first XC/SS race - I usually finish mid-pack in Sport gearie.
If I do Beginner/Sport, I should do reasonably well with out them fast mutant Expert guys in the usual combined SS field... and I can watch and shoot (photos) the Pro/Elite race.
If I do Expert, I'm not too worried about the distance but it would certainly be a race against(for?) last place for me. Howevever, I get more bang for the buck (two laps) and I get to watch Roland blow by as he laps me!

Mar 29, 2003 8:53 AM | | There are a alot of sandbaggers in the Begineer/ Sport class (which are combined by the way). This is a race and it is fun to at least come in at the middle and battle a few guys for position.
