I just finished installing my new Spicer Cycles segmented titanium fork & MutanoRaptor 2.4" front tire on my Soulcraft Plowboy. The fork is freakin' light...Gene said around 1.5 lbs. I know it lightened the front of the bike up a LOT (over the Duke SL fork that was on it before). Oh, it feels good to be rigid again. I can't wait to get out for an offroad test ride.

Sweet Craig, I'm a bit jelous...I hate it when you one up my equipment.

BTW- I did A,B,C and D loop today at Highland on my SS with my Specialized Enduro Pro on front at 20 psi. I left the Skinny fast tire on the back. It worked great. I was leading most of the time with about 10 geared riders behind me.
Yeah, it was a nice ride...Farmer John

I stuck in back with One of ours who was doing his first ride back at Highland from breaking his ankle there last year.

Absolutely refused to return to D.

Craig - sweet ride! Does that fork come disc compatible? And is it safe enough for a 210 lb singlespeeder with disc brakes?

Thanks
Fred

Thanks Fast Freddy! You can find all of the "stats" for the fork in the Rigid Forks - Manufacturer Links section of my SS/Fixed Gear References page.

In a nutshell, though...

1) Disc-compatible? YES (linear-pull only *or* disc-specific...not both).

2) Safe for 210 lb. rider? Probably, but I'd e-mail Gene Spicer for the definitive word on that.

Available in 395mm or 430mm crown height (I have the latter).

...is so sexy it makes me wanna have a full rigid ride myself. (Somebody bookmark this post, because later I'll deny ever saying such a stupid thing.)

Now there's a backhanded compliment if ever there was one.

Craig, your Plowboy is so dang gorgeous it'd be a shame to get it dirty.

How much does it weigh? It can't possibly be over 20lbs, can it?
I'm guessing around 21 - 21.5 lbs. (haven't weighed it) - nm1x1 Speed Craig
