| More disillusionment = 50Lbs of Dirt Rag for Free | 42IT May 26, 2003 8:53 AM | | As I work through my disillusionment with stuff I have come across (okay stubbed my toe on the box one time to many) the "Big Milk Crate O Dirt Rags".
Here's the deal, it is a collection dating from the early 90s through about 99. I would guess all in all there is close to 50Lbs worth of reading material waiting to get piled next to your favourite reading spot.
The asking price is..Nothing.
The catch is. you pay the cost of shipping.
Originally I was going to give them away issue by issue, but recently my favourite riding partner was diagnosed with cancer and I honestly can't take the time away from caring for her to "part em out" so 1 person takes all.
And while you're at it, take a look at the Litespeed I posted in the Crassifieds (see the post slightly lower down) that's gotta go too.
Thanks and happy trails |
| A suggestion | Spar¡cus May 26, 2003 9:00 AM | | If you're going to put ads for "For Sale" stuff on bulletin boards where they don't belong, please at least start your thread with "For Sale..."
If I'd a known either of your posts were offering merchandise for sale (or for free + shipping, whatever), I wouldn't have clicked through. Labeling them as such would be considered a favor by some of us.
Thanks,

| My Bad Sparty | 42IT May 26, 2003 9:34 AM | | Sparty, I appreciate you position and did not consider waylaying inadvertent clickers .
The Bike is listed for sale is in the classifieds, and I assumed a general understanding of the term Pimping, my bad, I have amended the title to better reflect the intention of the post.
The Dirt Rags are Free. If you come to my house in Western NC, you can load them into your car and leave with a cheery smile and a hand shake. If you want them delivered and think it unreasonable to expect to pay the shipping, then we must disagree on that point.
On re-examining my biking mag flotsam I have discovered quite a few glossy 90s bike pubs (and even a few from the 70s) not to mention even more catalogs and dealer lit (1990 & 91 Specialized Technical Sales Manual, things like that). 50Lbs is probably an exaggeration but the box (2 actually) it is fairly heavy so Beep Prepared :) |
| Thanks, bro! | Spar¡cus May 26, 2003 10:52 AM | | No harm, no foul. I only meant to suggest. Didn't mean to come across as a thug. Hope I didn't.
:D
Thanks!

| Specialized Tech Manuals | wooglin May 26, 2003 11:22 AM | | I don't suppose that has the geometry and specs of the Stumpjumper in it? I like the way mine handles and if I ever go custom might try to duplicate it. |
| Specialized Tech Manuals | 42IT May 26, 2003 12:18 PM | | Yup,
Sizes, angles, Top Tube Tube information, Blurbs about their fantastic technology, Heck even Spoke Lengths for 1991.
1990 has most of the info, though it doesn't have angles.
Drop me a line and they are yours. |
