May 27, 2003 4:53 PM | | I was looking at doing those mods to my Ti Mojo right around when Carl was moving locations. By the time that he would have been moved and ready to do the work I decided to forgo the project altogether and leave the frame the way it is (for sentimental reasons). The Ti Mojo had a bad chainsuck at my first ever 24 hour race and cost me 20 minutes trying to get the chain out from between the granny ring and the chainstay. Not only that, the chain gouged the titanium horrendously - and the frame was pretty new at the time so I was quite sad, needless to say.
It was that one bad chainsuck that made me say I've had enough, and got into singlespeeding...
From all the Carl Strong frames that I've seen, I wouldn't hesitate to go with him for any work you need done. |
