I just spent the past two hours checking for nicer bike parts on the Ebay boards of Europe. Pretty skinny on the good stuff that we can get by lifting the phone and making a call or a quick trip to our LBS's.

I was amazed at the variety of bike with components I had never heard or seen. Not many I would put on my bikes.

I lived in Europe 4 times and speak a few lanuages, so it was fun checking the ads out, but not very productive.

Long live Chris King, and IF and Moots, Thomson, Paul's, SRP, Jericho, and all the other small and independent manufacturers who make this hooby, sport, life style so enjoyable.

...absolutely anywhere I want (even on private property), at any time I want and at any speed that I want is worth something too.

I'd give up the fancy parts for that. However combining the above with the fact that I have an American CC with an American mailing address and the opportunity to go to the US and pick up stuff on a regular basis - is as close to perfect as it gets.

......Unlike the reast of the UK, there are no laws of trespass north of the border.

Never been up there...yet. My cousin lives there and is always offering floor space! The UK SS Champs are there next year so then I'll *have* to go!

I in fact lived in Scotland for several days.
About 4017 days.
Tons of great riding. Tons.

I live in Norway. Tons of good riding right outside my front door.
