I called Gene Spicer and got one of his adapter plates. I told him I would shoot a few pictures for him. Here they if anyone would like to see how it fits on a King hub.

Thanks Freddy, it's true, it's fits great!

Think Aluminum bolts are strong enough here? I had them in mine then after thinking about it I switched them back to regular bolts - didn't want a mechanical on the trail?? Just asking opinions? If everyone thinks it's ok - I'll put the alloy ones back in there.

Personally, I went the steel routeSparty

I thought about using aluminum chainring bolts but it just didn't seem like a good idea. But then I weigh 195# and have ripped a hub in half in a past life so I'm a little wary of things like aluminum chainring bolts...

To each his own.

P.S. By the way, the device is generally referred to as a "GCA" (Granny Cog Adapter) not a "GSA" -- or is Gene calling it a GSA (Granny Spline Adapter)? It's Gene's thing, so whatever, but it'd be nice if we all referred to it by the same name for easy understanding during conversation.
You are rightSS Jerry

I probably typed in a wrong letter. The "S" and "C" are so close in inter-continental relationship on the keyboard. My Error.

I use the alloy bolts now adays. I used them on both of my MTB's and have never had a failure. But pushing 50, I don't do he 5 foot table drops ot ride trials anymore....

Nice! Hmm, but I ride 34-17 on my KM so far.
Do you mount the granny gears mounted the other way around, as the chain now comes from the other side? Or are granny gear rings actually symmetrically teethed?
Bolts should be fine2PAAD

I mean, some of us run alum chainring bolts......I would think the smaller dia bolt pattern will work in their favor for strength.
